Lung Cu Flag Pole
In Vietnam’s map, Lung Cu is the proud peak of our country, where every Vietnamese people wants to visit. The location becomes the North Pole sovereign sacred symbol of our country.
The pole is erected on the top of Dragon mountain of Lung Cu commune, Dong Van district with the height of 1468 m from sea level. On March 8, 2010, Ha Giang province restored the Pole, made it bigger, greater and more beautiful than the old one to welcome the 15th Ha Giang province Party Committee Congress and the 11th National Party Congress. On September 2, 2010, the Pole was finished and taken into use for domestic and foreign tourism. Lung Cu Flag Pole has an important political meaning of affirming National territory sovereignty, as well as attracting domestic and foreign visitors.
The Pole copies Hanoi Flag Pole model with total 33.15m height, the pole’s body is octagonal-shape designed, attached with 8 kettledrum figures and 8 green- stone embossments illustrating historical periods of our country and people, custom, habit of Ha Giang ethnic group.
