Pac Ngoi Village
From the administrative center of Ba Be National Park, going about 5 km along the road Ba Be Lake, we go to Pac Ngoi village.
Pac Ngoi Cultural Tourism Village, Nam Mau commune, Ba Be suburban district is houses on stilts of ethnic people Tay next to Leng river bank, close to Ba Be Lake. The village has more than 80 households with nearly 400 people. Especially, people in the village are Tay people.
Pac Ngoi Village has now still several old houses on stilts tiled by Yin and Yang trough with unique architectural style. People in the village grow rice and corn on the alluvial ground next to the river and catch fishes on Ba Be Lake in many generations.
Currently, the majority of households in the village are participating in service business for tourists. Coming to Pac Ngoi Village, tourist will be experienced and enjoyed the delicious special foods of the lake region (Bamboo-tube rice, grilled fish, sour shrimp, sour meat, da yen, five primary color rice, etc.); slept on the house on stilts, visited the lake by a dug-out canoe; fished on the river and lake, watched Tay young girls perform "then” song with ”tinh” instrument and visited the ethnic villages in Ba Be Lake region with people here and bought local special foods.
